BIM Services
Build It Right: Before You Break Ground.
Overview
Building Information Modelling (BIM) transforms the way projects are designed, coordinated, and delivered. Ampleton's BIM services give clients a single intelligent model that integrates architectural, structural, and MEP data, reducing costly clashes, accelerating regulatory approvals, and improving construction efficiency from the earliest stages of the project.
Our BIM team produces dimensionally accurate 3D models and fully coordinated construction drawings that enable all project stakeholders (architects, engineers, contractors, and clients) to visualise the complete building before a single slab is poured. This shared visibility eliminates ambiguity, aligns expectations, and creates the clarity of information that complex projects demand.
What We Deliver
Ampleton's BIM services span the full range of project needs. For new projects, we develop 3D architectural and structural models alongside detailed MEP coordination models that enable systematic clash detection between building systems, identifying and resolving conflicts in the digital environment rather than on site where resolution is far more costly. We produce 4D construction sequencing models that allow project teams to plan and visualise the construction programme before mobilisation, reducing programme risk and improving resource planning accuracy.
For projects approaching completion or already built, we produce as-built BIM documentation that captures the final installed condition of all systems, providing the facility management team with an accurate, queryable record of the building's infrastructure for the full operational lifecycle. Quantity takeoffs generated directly from the BIM model provide accurate material estimates, reducing the risk of procurement shortfalls or overbuying. All models are produced in IFC-compatible formats, ensuring interoperability across the full project team regardless of the software platforms in use.
BIM Levels We Work At
Ampleton operates across all LOD levels depending on the project stage and client requirements. At LOD 200, we support concept and schematic design coordination, giving design teams a spatial reference model that enables informed early-stage decisions. LOD 300 delivers full detailed design and construction documentation, enabling direct use of model data for procurement and construction. LOD 400 extends to fabrication and assembly level detail, supporting off-site manufacturing and complex MEP installations. LOD 500 as-built models are delivered at project completion, providing facility managers with a complete and accurate digital twin of the building for use in maintenance and future renovation planning.
The Value of BIM with Ampleton
When BIM is combined with Ampleton's in-house MEP and electrical engineering expertise, the result is a model that is not just geometrically accurate; it is engineered for buildability. We do not simply model what architects draw. We model what can actually be constructed, coordinated, and commissioned efficiently in the real world. For clients investing in complex facilities, this translates directly into cost savings, faster delivery, and fewer surprises during construction. Ampleton's BIM capability is not a standalone service; it is the digital backbone of how we design and deliver every complex project we take on.
